MANAGER AND OFFICER

TRA SCCOS LTD is registered saving and credit cooperative society whose main objective is to mobilize
savings from member and in return provide credit facilities. TRA SACCOS LTD is an employee based
SACCOS which was established in July 2006 as per the requirements of the cooperatives society CAT No. 6 of
2013 the objectives of the society are to encourage thrift among the member by educating the members the
advantages developing a saving behavior proper management of money through proper investment
MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY
The manager will be in-charge of the overall leadership of the SACCOS with the following key sposnible
• The manager will be secretary to the board by organizing attending and recording all management board
and annual general meeting proceed and ensure implementations of all decision made thereof
• Identifications of emerging members needs to innovate product development and service delivery
• Ensure timely accurate and reliable financialreports are produced at required intervals for use by
management board and other stakeholders
• Ensure prudent management of liquid credit operational and reputation risks
• Ensure compliance to allstatutory requirements and regulations as well as internal procedure
• Ensure safe custody of allsociety asset
• Advice management board on technical and administrative issues of the society
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management board
QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters degree in business administrations accounting finance management banking cooperative or other
related field study from a recognized institutions
• Managerial experience of at least 3 years working
• Must have practical computer working experience of office applications especially excel and power point
• Working experience in microfinance institutions will be added advantage
INERNAL AUDITOR
JOB SUMMARY
The internal auditor reports functional to the management board and to the manager on administrative matters.
The internal auditor will assist the board and management instituting effective controlsystem risk management
FUNCTIONS OF INTERNAL AUDITOR
i. Develop a risk based annual audit plan and submit that plan to the management board for review and
approval
ii. Implement annual audit plan as approved including as appropriate any special task or projects requested by
management
iii. To review and present for the board approval internal audit policies which are in line with the Sacco’s laws
and regulations
iv. To review and advice Sacco’s operational compliance with existing laws
v. Keep the management board informed of emergence trends and successful practice in internal auditing
vi. Liaising with and consider the scope of work of the external auditors as appropriate for the purpose of the
providing optimal auditing coverage to the society at reasonable
vii. Coordinating the implementations by management of the recommendations and directives given to it by
external auditors
viii. Performa any other task as may be assigned by management board from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
i. Must be a holder of CPA or its equivalent qualifications recognized by NBAA
ii. Bachelor degree in accounting finance cooperatives banking or other related field ofstudy from the
recognized higher learning institutions
iii. Auditing experience of at least years in related field
iv. Must have practical computer working experience of office applications especial excel and power point
v. Working experience in microfinance institutions will be an added advantage
